The Catholic University of America is preparing to host the 2022 Opus Prize Award in November 2022. The Opus Prize is an annual faith-based humanitarian award, recognizing leaders and organizations that develop creative solutions to some of the world's most pressing problems. The Opus Prize is awarded in partnership with Catholic universities, providing new opportunities to inspire the next generation of agents for change. While the Opus Prize Foundation partners with Catholic universities to award the Opus Prize, the individual or organization receiving it may have roots in any faith.

Opus Prize laureates combine the spirit of innovation with amazing faith to inspire long-term, local solutions to address poverty and injustice. The $1 million award and two $100,000 prizes make up one of the world's largest faith-based awards for social entrepreneurship.

Hosting the 2022 Opus Prize is an incredible opportunity for Catholic University students, faculty, and community to engage with faith-inspired champions of change who are addressing the great social issues of our time -- anywhere in the world -- and fundamentally changing individuals, families, and communities. The Catholic University community will welcome three Opus Prize finalists to campus for several days in November 2022 to celebrate and learn from their important work. The week-long celebration culminates with the $1.2 million gifts to the three finalists at the 2022 Opus Prize Award Ceremony.
